At Ta Prohm

I have been dreaming of visiting this temple ever since I watched Tomb Raider. And I have been looking forward to visiting this place since I started to travel. Then, I was actually there... and it was raining!!!

I was already starting to feel really, really disappointed and frustrated and sad and a little angry, but despite all the negative feelings, I was really amazed by the beauty of the place. The roots and the trees and the crumbling walls.

I took some selfie (dual camera) shots, but all of my shots look like some cursed The Ring photos, good thing was my sister still managed to take our pictures even though she was not in a very good mood herself. I must admit that really saved my Ta Prohm Temple visit.

July 25-26, 2015 - Quezon Trip: Day 1 at The PaRK, Real.

Quezon Province is known for its pristine white beaches, but there's still more to explore.

After the previous week's trip to Tiaong, Quezon, my lakwatsera self brought me to Real, Quezon the following  weekend. Despite my major migraine, I pushed through with the trip, basically, to prove that a change in scenery can cure any pain.

Due to my stupid migraine, I woke up late, so I just decided to follow my friends who already went ahead. To get to Real, Quezon one can ride the Raymond Bus Line or a van at Legarda. I rode an aircon bus (Php 195) bound for Infanta, Quezon at a little past 10am. I talked to the driver and asked if they would pass by at The PaRK (Pacific Recreation Kamp). When he said yes, I found myself a sit, took my meds and slept. I woke up at around 12 noon and we were still at the terminal. We left the terminal before 12:30pm. We passed the ever-zigzagging Sumulong Highway and the Siniloan-Famy-Real-Infanta Road. I just tried to sleep the whole time because I dont think I'd survive the trip awake. We had a stop over somewhere before Famy. I arrived at The PaRK at around 5pm, just in time for sunset.

Stop-Over.

At The PaRK's Entrance.

Us.
me, Jo, Emz, Eys, and Ives

We had some photo shoot.
Jo, the lady in white.

Eys, the Thinking Man.

Blue Hour Surfers.

We stayed at the beach until the blue hour and finally decided to have our dinner at the nearest talipapa. We rode the tricycle to talipapa, Manong told us that he will wait for us (PhP 20 return). We ate at Nek-nek's Seafoods & Restaurant. They accept paluto. We decided to have a kilo of their fresh shrimp (sinigang & buttered), fish (inihaw), rice, coffee and coke. Total of less than a thousand pesos good for 5 people (or even 7 people).

Our Dinner Expenses for 5.

When we got back to The PaRK, in the designated area, we started to prepare the bonfire. We had smores and roasted marshmallows while we talked and laughed.

We were able to fit ourselves into a tent. So that saved us another hundred pesos. After some more talks and laughters we all finally fell asleep.
